Hello Family!
It was so good to hear from you all and all of the wonderful things that are happening back at home! I was pretty shocked to also hear that the Kofford's are going to be living in England for 3 years. Thats means you'll be there for Wimbledon!!! Woot Woot! Maybe we could time it just right for me to come visit them when I return :) haha anyways..it was so cool to hear all about your experiences with Elder and Sister Zwick. It is amazing to hear about the strength that we have in the church and it was cool to see the pictures you sent of the high council party and the good bonding time you all must of had. I also loved seeing Caleb's germs presentation! You didnt by chance take the line,'they're all over me' from the song Weird Al made, did you Caleb:) Things here in the mission are going well. We just had transfers and I just received my new companion Elder Winchester from Morgan, Ut. He is a great Elder and about the same age in the mission as my last companion. He has really great desires for our area and also see's the great potential it has. This is going to be a great transfer and we are hoping to see some great success here soon. I know without a doubt that when we get to work and quit thinking about ourselves, the Lord takes us and shapes us and helps us see the success that we hadnt seen before. The mission for me thus far has been the most humbling experience of my life. I never knew a single person could be so prideful to start off with:) I was reading a talk by Elder Scott that I really loved and that has really made a big difference to me and has helped me better understand the process that we all go through throughout our lives. He talked about how strength of character can protect us from any temptation satan can send our way. The way we build and strengthen our character is through consistently making the correct and right decisions in faith. As we excercise our faith, the Lord strengthens our character, which then allows us to act with more faith, building stronger and stronger. One quote I like was," we become what we want to be when we consistently be what we want to become every day." It is such a key and simple truth, though much easier said than done. That is something we are all working at. I know that as we show the Lord that we are serious about becoming what he wants us to become, he will provide the means by which to do it. I am so grateful for our Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ and the plan he has given us to follow and I know that as we follow what has been commanded and asked of us, the Lord will bless us abundantly. Thanks for all of the support you all give me and I hope that everything is going well for you. I pray each night for you all and I hope you can feel my love. I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead of you! I'm hoping to send some pictures soon!
With Love,
Elder Ostler
